My favorite kids book today is Weirdo by Tony Weaver Jr. (Author), Jes Wibowo (Illustrated by), Cin Wibowo (Illustrated by)

Extremely endearing and honest graphic memoir about a geeky kid trying his best to live up to his parents' lofty goals while also learning how to be comfortable with himself. Difficult subjects such as bullying and self-harm are handled with tremendous care in what is ultimately a joyful and quirky story about friendship and self-acceptance. A perfect read for anyone who has ever had a hard time fitting in. This was a big hit in my comics reading group.
